Couple Power

West Indies missionaries find, teach, and baptize.

We were reminded last weekend that West Indies couple missionaries do too!

Three couples had baptisms this weekend.

1. The Malmroses, who served in Guadeloupe, taught and baptized Sister Hubert - all in two weeks. It is a sweet story - Elder Malmrose received a blessing from President Gamiette, the French District President, saying that he would baptize someone on his mission. With two weeks to go, that hadn't happened until Sister Valet brought her friend, Sister Hubert to church. The Malmroses and their replacement couple, the Collings, taugth her the lessons. She quickly gained a testimony and was baptized on the Malmrose's last Sunday in Guadeloupe

2. Elder Collings baptized Brother Didier last Sunday in Guadeloupe

3. Elder and Sister Leavitt had a very special experience the last Sunday of their missionary service in Trinidad. Twice a week for 16 months, they visited with Sister Weeks, the non-member wife of the Couva Branch President. She came to church on the last Sunday of the Leavitt's mission and said, "I want to be baptized today."

So she was!

And one more blessing - an investigator attended Sister Weeks' baptism and was so touched that he asked, "Can I be baptized - today?!"

And he was!
