I have a friend that calls experiences like this "kisses from heaven."
Traveling and staying in French Guiana is challenging and I was feeling extra tired today so my husband and I decided to go for a walk along the beach near our hotel. We just happened to come upon a giant leatherback sea turtle crawling up on the sand to lay her eggs. We stood for an hour and a half as the sun set, watching this amazing creature dig a nest, lay her eggs, and struggle back into the sea.
What a wonderful world this is!
