We have frozen this blog as a historical, yet informational view at what life is like in the West Indies Mission for all those called to serve. This blog was designed for the families and friends of those missionaries serving in the West Indies Mission from July 2006 to July 2009. Every six weeks, photos taken at zone conference as well as a new slide show including every person baptized were posted on the blog. All of the slide shows are also available on our You Tube channel. The current West Indies Mission blog can be found here. Posts on our missionary experience can be found here and earlier. And finally, if you are a returned missionary who served in the West Indies, there is a current blog for you. Click here or visit westindiesrm@blogspot.com

Teaching in Trinidad

We went on a teaching appointment with Elders Packer and Barker tonight. They are teaching a sweet family of mother, two teenage daughters, and a ten year old son. They will be baptized this week. It didn't feel appropriate to take pictures at the lesson but I caught some fun shots along the way.

A few interesting sign shots:

Guess we can't park there :-(

Hot and Spicy Duck Curry and Goat powder or is it Duck Goat and Curry Powder? Either way....I don't think so

not this one either

Adventurous drive to the appointment

On the way home - a little festive cheer. Christmas comes early in the Caribbean!

Cool pics. My favorite is the mid-eastern parking only.

That is early for Christmas. Interesting. When are you going to decorate?

We will put up the tree the first week of December. We don't have very many decorations. The people in Trinidad spend thre months before Christmas cleaning, painting, and sprucing up their houses.
