We have frozen this blog as a historical, yet informational view at what life is like in the West Indies Mission for all those called to serve. This blog was designed for the families and friends of those missionaries serving in the West Indies Mission from July 2006 to July 2009. Every six weeks, photos taken at zone conference as well as a new slide show including every person baptized were posted on the blog. All of the slide shows are also available on our You Tube channel. The current West Indies Mission blog can be found here. Posts on our missionary experience can be found here and earlier. And finally, if you are a returned missionary who served in the West Indies, there is a current blog for you. Click here or visit westindiesrm@blogspot.com

Sunset in St Vincent

Isn't St Vincent gorgeous?

We are in St Vincent for the weekend - no not to relax and gaze at sunsets although they certainly are beautiful. We held a leadership training meeting tonight, will attend a baptism tomorrow, and President Robison will be doing some leadership changes on Sunday. I did have a few free minutes tonight while he conducted interviews to sit on our porch and watch the sunset with Sister Hatton (serving a couple mission here with her husband).

Here is what we saw (I was tempted to tinker in photoshop but I resisted so this is the real thing)

Thank you! I was very touched by the spirit of the website and blog as well as the pictures and vidoes. It brings back very warm memories of my mission in Surinam in 94 to 96. This mission really is great and watch as your missionaries go and do great things afterwards. Its a good training spot with its unique circumstances and wonderful members. It looks like the work has accelerated from those early days.
