We have frozen this blog as a historical, yet informational view at what life is like in the West Indies Mission for all those called to serve. This blog was designed for the families and friends of those missionaries serving in the West Indies Mission from July 2006 to July 2009. Every six weeks, photos taken at zone conference as well as a new slide show including every person baptized were posted on the blog. All of the slide shows are also available on our You Tube channel. The current West Indies Mission blog can be found here. Posts on our missionary experience can be found here and earlier. And finally, if you are a returned missionary who served in the West Indies, there is a current blog for you. Click here or visit westindiesrm@blogspot.com

Grenada Evening

Good bye Trinidad
From Sept 08 Grenada and St Vincent

Hello Grenada
From Sept 08 Grenada and St Vincent

We arrived in Grenada yesterday afternoon only an hour and a half late - pretty good for LIAT ('leaves in any time') airlines. The flight from Port of Spain Trinidad to Grenada takes only 30 minutes. We settled into our hotel and then President Robison went out teaching with Elders Parrish and Williams (K). There are only two elders and a senior couple on the island and only one branch. Elder and Sister Wood, the senior couple, organized a supper and fireside at the church. It was well attended by members and visitors including a member of Parliament.

Did you notice the stunning location of the church? It's right by Grand Anse Beach - one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean

Here we are at the 'head table' - Brother Samuel (1st counselor in the Branch Presidency) and his wife Julia, the honorable Glynis Roberts, Sister Robison, and President Robison

We finished up the day with a 'seaside' (no fireplaces in Grenada, but plenty of sea)
