We have frozen this blog as a historical, yet informational view at what life is like in the West Indies Mission for all those called to serve. This blog was designed for the families and friends of those missionaries serving in the West Indies Mission from July 2006 to July 2009. Every six weeks, photos taken at zone conference as well as a new slide show including every person baptized were posted on the blog. All of the slide shows are also available on our You Tube channel. The current West Indies Mission blog can be found here. Posts on our missionary experience can be found here and earlier. And finally, if you are a returned missionary who served in the West Indies, there is a current blog for you. Click here or visit westindiesrm@blogspot.com

Westindiesmission.com

I have been keeping a website with mission information for the past (almost) three years.

Because my husband and I complete our mission soon, and because the particular method I used is difficult to transfer to another computer, I decided not to renew my contract to host the website. Consequently, I need to rebuild it in a way that can be used by the new mission president, if he desires.

That means the westindiesmission.com site is temporarily down. Over the next few weeks, I will try to put mission information back on the site. It may be be slow because I am NOT an experienced web designer.

If anyone has suggestions for what would be helpful to include in a general mission information site (as opposed to this blog) please let me know by commenting.

I think info for parents and recently called missionaries would be helpful. We struggled to find a map of the mission when our son was first called.

Thank you for doing such a wonderful job with the website and blog. It was wonderful for families at home! It really made us feel closer to our missionary. We will keep our fingers crossed that the incoming mission president's wife is computer literate!
